NTFP-EP Cambodia and the Provincial Department of Tourism, supported by Partners for Forestry and Fisheries (PaFF) programme, is proud to present the most scenery Mekong basin landscape of the Koh Han Community based Ecotourism is located in the unique landscape of Stung Treng Ramsar site along the Mekong river with wonderful and richest natural ecological settings. It was established in 2016, aiming at improving community livelihoods, promoting public awareness of the importance of the landscape and contributing to biodiversity conservation of the Ramsar. PaFF-photo template-Horizontal-01

WHAT CAN YOU DO IN THE COMMUNITY ?

Boat trip

Taking boat, you can enjoy the unique Mekong flooded forest, limestone landscape, birds, rapids and rocky outcrops, sand formation, community traditional fishing in community fishery or agricultural activities on islands. 

Camping and Kayaking

You can do camping on beautiful sand formation or Kayaking on rapids and rocky outcrops along the Mekong flooded forest in the dry season (Nov-May). 19247801_310133452746631_1582285869555234463_n-1

Mountain and forest trekking 

There is a community forestry in this CBET. This will be a value added to your trip especially having experience in forest trekking in community forestry

Home stay and local food

To experience real rural life by staying at community homestay is another way of learning and understanding culture, tradition, local food and daily lifestyle of community.

HOW TO GET TO KOH HAN ?

You can reach Koh Han CBET by motor taxi (approximate 24km or 20mn) to the northwest of Stung Treng town along national road No.7. You will see a big billboard with direction sign of Koh Han CBET on the left hand side. Follow the direction sign for 4km to reach ferry port. You need to catch ferry across Mekong river to Koh Snaeng. CBET information center is next to the ferry port. Another option, you can reach Koh Han CBET by taking community boat from Stung Treng town to CBET site (around 50mn).IMG_3166-1
