The rationale for Enterprise Development Programme is to achieve dual goal: conservation and livelihood enhancement, i.e. improving incomes and livelihood local residents, especially Indigenous People, while addressing issue of natural resources degradation.
The Program is considered as one of key strategic programmes of NTFP-EP Cambodia. It focuses on a number of relevant aspects including the enterprise development, natural resource conservation and management, market development, capacity development and knowledge sharing, up to policy and sectorial development. Currently, this EDP is being given support to over 30 community-based enterprises (CBEs) in various fields including bamboo, wild honey, resin, ecotourism…etc at different provinces.
